The Steam Summer Sale 2022 kicked off this week with a huge amount of games that have been heavily discounted but we're obviously only interested in the racing sim deals. Thankfully, Steam have a few racing sims on sale at excellent prices. If you haven't already bought them, then now is an excellent time to buy the following:
Assetto Corsa Competizione
As mentioned in a previous article, Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) is a GT simulator that has just about everything you could ask for in a racing sim. Realistic physics, stunning graphics with full weather effects and officially licensed cars and tracks. It's now on sale for R213.86 ($14.50). Most of the DLC for the game has also been discounted by 60% with our favourite, the Intercontinental GT pack selling for only R95.60 (~$6).
Dirt Rally 2.0
This racing sim isn't for the faint-hearted. It's incredibly realistic and can be both rewarding and terribly punishing at the same time. Dirt Rally 2.0 is a rally simulator which means racing super-fast rally cars across all surface types while listening very, very carefully to your co-driver. It's probably the best rally experience you can get besides driving the real thing. It's on sale for the stupidly low price of R37.50 (~$2.40).
iRacing
We're huge fans of iRacing because of its detailed cars and tracks, top-notch multiplayer and safety rating/licence system. With support for road, oval and dirt racing combined with a range of race distances from short 20-minute races to 24-hour races, iRacing is the best all-around racing sim. iRacing is on sale with the 12-month option being what we consider to be the best deal. One year of iRacing will now cost only R331.60 (~$21). This is a huge discount when compared to the standard iRacing.com price of $110.
