Everything you need to know about the Cadillac V-Series.R

iRacing introduced the Cadillac V-Series.R LMDh a couple of weeks ago when Season 3 kicked off. It was well received by the iRacing community, with so many drivers entering it in both the IMSA Series and European Sprint Series.

Cadillac V-Series.R

Cadillac launched this car at the beginning of the 2023 IMSA Championship, and it found success quite quickly with two wins. It also competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship and finished the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans in 3rd place.

The car is built on a Dallara chassis that is essentially the same as the BMW M Hubrid V8, but that's more or less where the similarity ends. The Cadillac has a normally aspirated 5.5L V8 engine, whereas the BMW's V8 is turbocharged with a lower 4.0L capacity.

Cadillac styles the car, and we think it's definitely better looking than the BMW, especially with regard to those huge nostrils at the front!

Race Format, Tyres and Strategy

Being hybrid-powered, the Cadillac has several ERS modes available that can be used tactically during the race to save fuel, aid with overtaking and regenerate the battery.
