Long Beach GP Street Circuit announced for Factor 2

Studio-397 announced this week that the Long Beach GP street circuit would be coming to rFactor 2 on 21 February 2023.

Track information

The Long Beach track is 3.167 km long and is a temporary circuit laid out around the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. It's tight, twisty and very bumpy in places. Due to the proximity of trackside walls, small mistakes can result in damage to your car or worse; it could be race-ending damage. However, taking the time to learn the track can be very rewarding once you've started to master it and achieve good results.

A good car setup that's compliant with the bumps is vital to extract a decent lap time. Turn 1 and Turn 9 are decent spots for overtaking, with Turn 6 also being a possibility, especially if the driver in front has a bad exit out of Turn 5.

Final thoughts

Studio-397 is bringing the Long Beach GP circuit to Factor 2 in all its laser-scanned glory. The track is suitable for various forms of motorsport and has even hosted Formula 1 races in the past. We think this track is an excellent addition to Factor 2 and will prove to be very popular amongst fans of the sim. As mentioned earlier, the Long Beach GP circuit will be available on 21 February 2023 and should cost around $10.
