Kunos announced yesterday that the Ferrari 296 GT3 would be coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione. There's a lot more content expected for ACC over the next few months that we think will include more cars, one or two tracks, a Balance of Performance update and maybe an improved tyre model. We will cover everything released for ACC in detail as and when it gets announced.
Ferrari 296 GT3
The 296 is the latest GT3 racer from Ferrari that looks amazing with performance to match. It's powered by a turbocharged 3L V6 that produces 600hp and a massive 712Nm of torque. Power is delivered through the rear wheels via a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox. The car made its racing debut at the Daytona 24 Hours this year.
Final thoughts
The Ferrari 296 GT3 will be released on 19 April 2023 for Steam users. No information has been released yet on when this car or any other upcoming content will become available on console.
It's reassuring that ACC continues to be updated with new content and possible performance and feature improvements. This is just another sign that Kunos haven't abandoned ACC while they work on the upcoming ACC 3 or whatever it may be named. We appreciate their efforts and hope this week's announcement is just the first of many over the next few months.
