Sector 3 Studios, the development team behind Raceroom Racing Experience (R3E) released the popular Interlagos track for R3E last month. They announced this week that Donington Park will be coming to R3E to increase their already huge list of tracks.
Donington Park has a rich history dating back to its first race in 1931. The track features two layouts with a variety of corners and large elevation changes.
The track has multiple overtaking opportunities, especially in the GP track layout. Turn 1 (Redgate), The Esses and the final two hairpin corners all present good possibilities for overtaking. One of the most famous races hosted at this track was the 1993 European Grand Prix where Ayrton Senna took his underpowered Mclaren to victory during a rain-soaked race.
Release Date
The official announcement, unfortunately, does not mention a release date but the quality and completeness of the screenshots posted suggests that their "very soon" announcement might mean not more than a month.
Final thoughts
We're huge fans of this track with its flowing nature that is both challenging and rewarding for the driver. We're sure that Donington Park will prove to be a very popular addition to R3E.
