We consider Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) to be the best GT3 racing simulator currently available. You can race GT3 cars in other popular sims like iRacing and rFactor 2 but we think that ACC overall does a better job. However, there was one piece of content that was missing from ACC that many thought would make ACC the complete GT3 simulator. Until now.
The Nordschleife
After what seems like ages, the Nordschleife track finally comes to ACC today. It is rendered in perfect laser-scanned detail with 150-plus corners featuring all the famous names of various parts of the track that make it such a legendary venue to race it.
You can of course race the track over 24 hours including full weather effects as well as transitions between day and night. The track is very bumpy and has several places where the car can have the front end lift off the ground or go completely airborne. Needless to say. a good setup will be very advantageous here.
Nordschleife Setups from Coach Dave Academy
The Delta app from Coach Dave Academy (CDA) was recently updated with a new comparative feature and brings with it a set of brand-new setups for the Nordschleife. The app also includes setups from Jardier to complement their existing range of ACC setups.
All you have to do is subscribe, install the app and launch ACC. Delta will automatically install the correct setup for the track as well as adjust the tyre pressure for the current track temperature.
Final thoughts
ACC may be getting a bit long in the tooth with Assetto Corsa 2 looming on the horizon but this DLC is just a sign that there's a lot of life left in the game. We think that the huge ACC community will be very, very happy with the new track and it will become the most-played track on ACC very quickly.
